Postnatal Physiotherapy Check-Up Service

A comprehensive Post-natal Physiotherapy check-up service

From 6 weeks after childbirth, our Women’s Health Specialist Physiotherapist Ellen, can offer the following package of support in a tailored one-hour session

The session includes…

  • A pelvic floor and abdominal muscle assessment and personalised exercise plan
  • Posture check and advice
  • A return to daily life/sport advice plan
  • Screening for any postnatal pelvic issues and referral where required
  • Ability to discuss your postnatal health concerns with a specialist health professional
  • A written summary of the advice given after your assessment

Although these conditions can often occur following pregnancy and childbirth, a loss of bladder control can also happen to anyone as a culmination of constipation, heavy lifting, obesity, high impact sports, ageing, menopause, genetics or pelvic surgery.

Ellen can equip you with the knowledge, skills, and support necessary to manage, treat, and resolve continence problems.

Research shows that with the correct physiotherapy input, most patients with Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) can expect a resolution of symptoms

Loss of bladder control does not need to be tolerated or suffered, as specialist continence physiotherapy can usually help, and a medical referral is not always required.

During your initial consultation you will be able to discuss your difficulties and the results you would like to achieve

Babies and Buggies welcome!
